The meeting will begin with a Land Acknowledgement given by the Chair:

The City of Kitchener is situated on the traditional territory of the Chonnonton, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee Peoples.

We recognize our responsibility to serve as stewards for the land and honour the original caretakers who came before us. Our community is enriched by the enduring knowledge and deep-rooted traditions of the diverse First Nations, Metis and Inuit in Kitchener today.

Pursuant to Council’s Procedural By-law, delegations are permitted to address the Committee for a maximum of five (5) minutes. All delegations must register in order to participate in the meeting. Delegation registration is permitted up to the start of the meeting.

(D. Johnson will delegate on the cleanliness of trails in Kitchener.)

(B. Cronkite will report back to the committee on the Pedestrian Charter.)

(D. Kropf will deliver an update to the City's Complete Streets work. The list of 2027 projects will be presented.)

(L. Christianson will present plans for trail paving in 2025)

(D. Kropf will lead a discussion on plans for the celebration and opening event for the Downtown Cycling Grid in June.)

(V. hand will lead a discussion on the presentation made by CycleWR last month)

(The committee will choose a representative of the committee to attend the Ontario Bike Summit in May)

(The committee will break out into subcommittee groups to discuss what they would like to accomplish over the term and dif additional meetings will be required.)
