Commencement

 

The meeting will begin with a Land Acknowledgement given by the Mayor.

Disclosure of Pecuniary Interest and the General Nature Thereof

 

Members of Council and members of the City’s local boards/committees are required to file a written statement when they have a conflict of interest. If a conflict is declared, please visit www.kitchener.ca/conflict to submit your written form.

Delegations

 

Pursuant to Council’s Procedural By-law, delegations are permitted to address the Committee for a maximum of five (5) minutes. All Delegations where possible are encouraged to register prior to the start of the meeting. For Delegates who are attending in-person, registration is permitted up to the start of the meeting. Delegates who are interested in attending virtually must register by 2:00 p.m. on December 2, 2024, in order to participate electronically.

Region of Waterloo - All Council Meeting

 

The Mayor and Members of Council have been invited to participate in a joint meeting with the Councils of the Regional Municipality of Waterloo and all Area Municipalities within the Region of Waterloo on Friday December 6, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. to be held at the Centre in the Square, 101 Queen St N, Kitchener, ON N2H 6P7, further notice of the meeting will be published at www.regionofwaterloo.ca 

Council will be asked to pass the following resolution:

"That the Mayor and Members of Kitchener Council be authorized to participate in an All Councils meeting on December 6, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. to be held at Centre in the Square, further notice of that meeting being published at www.regionofwaterloo.ca."

In-camera Meeting Authorization 

 

Note:  Any member of Council may question the appropriateness of a listed in-camera item.  This may be done during the special Council meeting or at the beginning of the in-camera session.

Council is asked to enact the following resolution to authorize an in-camera meeting:

"That an in-camera meeting of City Council be held immediately following the special council meeting this date to consider two matters, one a land disposition and solicitor client privilege matter and a matter of solicitor client privilege and litigation/potential litigation as authorized by Sections 239 (c) (e) and (f) of the Municipal Act, 2001, respectively."
