4.1

Accelerating Business Approvals Presentation

T. Zhang introduced herself to Compass Kitchener members as Project Manager, onboarded in June 2024 to implement the Accelerating Commercial Business Lean Review A T. Zhang provided a 15-minute presentation on this project.

Following the presentation, T. Zhang opened the room up for Q & A's. Compass Kitchener members asked T. Zhang questions; including questions about the 'LEAN approach' and the implementation process.

2023-2026 Strategic Plan Presentation

S. Sweazey introduced M. Love, Director of Strategy and Corporate Performance, to the newest members of Compass Kitchener.

M. Love provided a 20-minute presentation on the 2023-2026 Strategic Plan development and implementation. Using Compass Kitchener's evaluation criteria, M. Love presented shared examples of how the development and implementation of the Strategic Plan aligned with the principles of responsible project delivery, impact/scope, transparency and accountability, and public engagement.  

T. Glover underscored that Compass Kitchener plays a significant role in the development of Kitchener's Strategic Plan and proposed that if the City ever has any questions they are grappling with, they could be shared with Compass Kitchener members as they may have some feedback/input to share. M. Love indicated she would take that suggestion back and reflect on it.

Initial Evaluation Debrief

The members of Compass Kitchener agreed to postpone the initial debrief on the presentations to a future meeting.
