The meeting began with a Land Acknowledgement given by the Chair.

The City of Kitchener is situated on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee Peoples.

We recognize our responsibility to serve as stewards for the land and honour the original caretakers who came before us. Our community is enriched by the enduring knowledge and deep-rooted traditions of the diverse First Nations, Metis and Inuit in Kitchener today.

C. Musselman provided an overview of the Community Environmental Improvement Grant, its criteria and its history. It was noted the grant is being underutilized but community impact would be greater if the remaining CEIG funds be reallocated to the Love My Hood Grant which is better equipped to approve grants.

On motion by B. Wallis

    Carried

The floor was opened for sub-committees to present workplan updates. Members noted there were no updates at this time.

On motion, this meeting adjourned at 4:52 p.m.
